The New York auction of the actress’s clothes, jewels, art and memorabilia neared its close. Christie’s auctioneers said ‘the 1944 Nation Velvet script bound in lilac leather. They were sold to a private US buyer for $US170, 500 on Friday. Its presale estimate was $US2000 – $3000. Friday’s total sales were $US4.4 million, including commission, taking the auction sales so far this week to $US154.2 million.
