Singer Adele and Blur lined up for UK music’s Brit Awards

Soulful songstress Adele and tousle haired singer song writer ‘Ed Sheeran’ lead the race for the U.K.’s Brit music awards 2012 ahead of Tuesday’s ceremony in London. Sheeran has four nominations for breakthrough act, best British album, for his debut ‘+,’ best single for ‘The A Team’ and best British male solo act. He is u20p against James Blake, James Morrison, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Professor Green in that category. Adele won six Grammys for her sophomore album ’21,’ is nominated for three Brits British album, British single for “Someone Like You” and British female artist, an eclectic category. Florence and the Machine, Jessie J, Laura Marling and Kate Bush won the same prize 25 years ago.

Adele gave a show stopping performance of ‘Someone Like You’ at last year’s Brits. Lindsay Lohan to Host ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’ show

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan nabbed her hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live” without the help of her mother. The 25 year old actress tells us Dina Lohan, who used to manage her daughter, ‘had nothing to do’ with helping Li-Lo get a coveted gig hosting “SNL” on March 3. Dina is still managing Lindsay’s career. The rep says Lohan is currently managed by Untitled Entertainment by ICM and adds that no family members are involved in the shepherding of her career. The reported said that the actress personally reached out to “SNL” exec producer, whom she reportedly sees and set up a date for the hosting gig. It will be her fourth time on the show, her first since 2006.

Actress will be off probation on March 29 if she fulfills her court ordered obligations by then. Rachael Ray celebrated the 1,000th episode of her TV show. On Thursday night, “The Rachael Ray Show” host and her co-workers toasted their media milestone by gathering for a cocktail party at Donatella. The Chelsea eatery owned by fellow Food Network alum Donatella Arpaia. Ray stood on a booth and announced that the show would be moving from its East 44th St. studio to the 221 W. 26th St. Stewart’s Hallmark Channel show will reportedly cease production in April. Hollywood singer Adele has showed off the new £7 million mansion. She has moved into in a new US TV interview. The mansion is costing the singer around £15,000 to rent, is situated in a remote part of West Sussex. You can watch the singer giving US TV a tour of the house. The house has 10 bedrooms in total, a helicopter hangar and two swimming pools with landing pad. It’s set in 25 acres of private land. Adele described it as a bit of a cliche and adds that large parts of the house are empty. The singer yesterday denied that she is planning to take a five year break from music.

Adele Adkins chose to live with her mum Penny, in a poky flat above the This That And The Other Discount Store in West Norwood. She did get her own place and after picking up six Grammy Awards this week. Those pragmatic surroundings may have been the ideal environment to inspire the songs of heartbreak which make up 21. American singer and actress Whitney Houston dies aged 48

Grammy winning singer and actress Whitney Houston one of the most talented performers of her generation, who lived a turbulent personal life and admitted drug use, died on Saturday in a Beverly Hills hotel room in Los Angeles at the age of 48. Police reported said ‘they were called to the Beverly Hilton at around 3:20 p.m. in Los Angeles. Those emergency personnel found Houston’s body in a fourth floor room and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. She had been staying as a guest.’ Whitney Houston was one of the most celebrated female singers of all time with hits including ‘I Will Always Love You and Saving All My Love For You.’ Houston was in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards, the music industry’s biggest honors program that will take place on Sunday night.

She was expected to perform at record producer Clive Davis’s annual pre Grammy party on Saturday, which is held at the Beverly Hilton. Singer inspired by soul singers in her New Jersey family, including mother Cissy Houston and Cousins Dionne Warwick. The late Dee Dee Warwick as well as her godmother Aretha Franklin became one of the most celebrated female singers of all time, taking multiple Emmy, Grammy and Billboard Music awards. Singer Houston had become the queen of pop music achieving great critical and commercial acclaim. Her personal life was becoming troubled. In 1992 she married singer Bobby Brown, who had a bad boy reputation and during their 14 years together had a tumultuous relationship fueled by drugs.

Madonna Announces World Tour

Singer Madonna has confirmed dates for her 2012 world tour. Her performance was at last Sunday’s Super Bowl. The Queen of Pop will kick off her six month stint to support her MDNA album on 29th May at Ramat Gan Stadium in Tel Aviv. The singer will also bring her show to 26 major cities throughout Europe, hitting London’s Hyde Park on 17th July and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield on 21st July. Singer will also be visiting South America and Australia, where she has not performed for 20 years. Her tour will come to an end at the Philips Arena in Atlanta on 17th November.

Madonna’s fans are angry that ticket prices for her Hyde Park show are priced £70 – £125. Madge will reportedly rake in around £5million per UK show with the 53 year old stating last week. One person who will not be trying to get tickets when they go on sale this Friday is former Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan. He called the star “a drunken aunt” after her Super Bowl stint. Singer Madonna said ‘her Super Bowl guest M.I.A. after the rapper stuck her middle finger up at cameras during their performance of Give Me All Your Luvin’. The 53 year old singer Madonna put on an impressive performance during the halftime show of the NFL Super Bowl XLVI football game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. The show opened with a huge procession of Egyptian soldiers carrying a large platform as the intro to Vogue began. The singing legend was strutting her way across the bleachers to Music. The second song in her set and she was unable to step up onto one of them with had to repeat the dance move to hoist herself up.

Madonna singing her way through classic hits Vogue like Prayer and Music, as well as performing her new song ‘Give Me All Your Luvin.’ Madonna rose to the challenge. She can be thankful and avoided any Janet Jackson style wardrobe malfunctions. The singer put on an energetic and fun show with help from singer Nicki Minaj, MIA and Cee Lo Green. Madonna emerged and appeared to be invoking her inner Cleopatra cum Roman solider. The popular singer was dressed in a pair of over the knee boots, a black dress with a golden Roman inspired skirt over the top and a short cape. Singer also donned a golden headpiece custom.

Singer was joined by MIA and Nicki Minaj the performances formed a triangle with Madonna at the head. Singer MIA appeared to want to cause controversy and she was seen swearing. Celebrity Cee Lo Green also donned a sequined ensemble and joined Madonna on alters and they sang Like a Prayer. The show ended with a loving message as Madonna disappeared under the stage the words ‘World Peace’ was written on the large screen floor.

The 27 year old actress Scarlett Johansson stands out from the crowd by showing off her stunning hourglass figure at Golden Camera Awards ceremony in Berlin, Germany. This year’s show was hosted by German comedian Hape Kerkeling. Scarlett was honoured at the event. She took home the International Actress award while Denzel Washington won the International Actor prize.
